That's true. I talked with the Richmond rep before I bought mine, he said the original design (Doug Nash) was redesigned to create a better transmission. As for a Tremac, I personally think if you're going to spend the money on the Tremac in addition to the amount of work required to install it, you'd be better off getting a Richmond 6 speed.
