No groans from
me. Disk brakes and a rebuild of the front end was one of the first things
I did when I bought my '67. It can be a real adventure driving the highway
with worn out suspensions!
There are some
great resources for the disk brake swap, and you don't need much if any machine
work to do it. At the same time you upgrade your brakes, you can improve
your suspension geometry. I would recommend two possible vendors, Global
West (http://globalwest.net/) and Hotchkis
(http://www.hotchkis.net) for a
replacement Upper A-Arm (and maybe other parts).
