400 is cheap are you sure its a m-22 ? too many people think they own one and then find out they don't have one. email me off line and i will give you the rundown on them. also if you can get the numbers off the case. the stamped numbers and the cast numbers. depends on the shape of the 396  and year. i would say a complete 396 is worth a minimum of 500 if rebuildable but more if you need a certain year.
