Does > this sound about right ? If it is a real M22, that is a great deal, especially if no rebuild is necessary. Rebuilt M22's are going in the $1500+ price range. Unbolt the side cover and check the angle of the gears, should be about 22 degrees, (around half of 45 degrees). If an original M22, the input shaft should have no rings on it. The front drain plug boss is tapped for a magnetic drain plug on M22's. And then there are the case numbers to check. Be aware that people swap all kinda parts around in Muncies so be careful. I would bring a friend who knows Muncies to take a look at it also.
