Thx Larry, I've seen a lot of 'clones'. I've been doing my homework, lot sof research on the web and buying Chevelle books. I plan to drive and enjoy my SS on the road as much as possible in the warmer months, I'm in Michigan. I will be storing it in the winter months. Are dealers more reliable to buy from? I'm somewhat leary about buying one from 'Joe citizen'. Would a car club be a good place to inquire about buying one? >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] Newcomer >Date: Wed, 2 Jan 2002 16:26:54 EST > >Carl: >make sure it is a real SS. ask for all the documentation if you don't know >cars pay a professional to look at it. there are a lot of fake cars out >there. if you don't have a friend who knows this stuff you should be able >to >for less than 200 bucks get someone to look at it and appraise it. make a >deal between you and the appraiser. that way if the car is worth more than >what you are paying the seller doesn't see the value. if it comes up short >or >the car isn't what you were expecting you are only out $200.00 or so. > > larry _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
