I do not think that this idea was meant as a "fix all" to email viruses. It is possible that this trick will help in some cases. Having a fake email address listed as your first address in your address book will not harm anything. A good virus program is the best fix. Norton Anti-Virus and other virus program cost as little as $40.00. If a virus attacks sector "0" on your hard drive, your drive will be trash. The $40.00 will be well spent if you protect your files or hardware. It is just a fact of computing or surfing the Internet, you need a up-to-date virus program. We could wait for Bill Gates to develop a virus program for his OS, but then we would pay $89.00 each year because his would update it each year and make us pay $89.00 each year for his fixes.
