Hello all Know some on the list are running 502's. Need a little advice. I recently went through the 383 vs. big block dilemma and big won. The Ram Jet crate 502 http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/179/ and the ZZ 502/502 have my attention. Met a guy with a 66 Chevelle drag car, 8/71 sitting on his 502. Raves about it. He has offered to help install one (sans blower) in my 71 Malibu. Entirely different applications. Since mine will be a restored weekend driver with an occasional petal to the metal vs. a drag car, wanted to check with yall. He is telling me my TH350 can be built to handle what I have in mind, and putting a posi with mid 3 gears in my 10 bolt 8.5 (replaced in 80) will be OK. I tend to believe this. Considering the Gear Vendor OD. With aluminum heads, intake manifold and water pump, staying with my new SB springs. At my age, (59) there will not be a lot, but some WOT. Not a daily driver ~~ (have to think about this). Anything I need to watch for? Planning on the March pulley system. PS, PB, Air. All steering/suspension/shocks/springs/bushings has been rebuilt/replacedboxed rear w/sway bar, front disks. Spent a gob on bodywork/paint/upholstery. Hey, its a four door, but talk about a really nice sleeper!!! Its in my will. Any and all info and advice appreciated; reply on list or off, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Really enjoy the list. Have picking up a lot of good info..about Chevelles and PCs :( Hope to have complete and pics by this summer. Thanks for the 454 build info Tom, but these looks sweeter to me (but not cheaper). Tks, Denny/GA (Kansas farm boy, will move back someday) ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
