Well .......when I heard the Q-jet was a bolt on and go carb I was very sceptical ......consider me a staunch fan now , I just bolted on an Edlebrock Q-jet Performer carb to the 396 and it started on the 3 rd crank ..........and was at the correct idle once warm. All I needed to do was plug a couple of vacuum fittings ,and the power break hole at the back of the carb with a 1/4 " NPT plug and she was set. I need to check the kick down , but I have to think that it will be dang near dead on considering the success so far ........we have alot of salt on the roads right now so I have to be content with the car on the driveway for now . One thing nice on the QJet > is the fuel level is below the gasket where the Holley gasket surface is > always wet with fuel so the Holley will have more fuel leaking problems over > time. > > ----------------------------------------------------- > To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html > To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
