Edlebrock Q-jets  replacement carbs ....like the one I just got are built by Weber USA according to the packaging it came with.......The Performer series carbs for Q-jet spread bore application are all Weber design .   I believe the square bore Performer series carbs might be a Carter derivative......( whoa ...to many syllables there !! )       Mel 67 Malibu SS ----- Original Message ----- From: Kelly C. They are also very easy to work on when tuning in my opinion.  Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the Edelbrock carbs what used to be called Carter.  These are not as easy to tune or as flexible in my opinion.  Everyone will feel different about this of course.  I think it's pretty universal thought that Holleys make the most horsepower.
