It depends on what you call "a little more expensive". Just Dashes gets $400 to recover a dash pad. A repro is about $150. I paid $75 each to have the center emblems for my Olds wheelcovers re-chromed (not available in repro), and in the long run it was a mistake. They still have to be painted (time is money too), and I have since found 3 NOS covers for about $50 each, and one NOS emblem for $25. Re-chroming is not cheap, especially here in the northeast where the hazmat laws are very strict.
