Forgot to tell you. There is a small screw at the top of the window run channel that holds the run channel felt strip. Take this out and pull it back a little. With a pair of pliers GENTLY pull the stainless off. After polishing the stainless you may want to go and take everything apart and buff it. That's what happened to me. I ended up replacing all the weather stripping and polishing the chrome too. The best way is remove the piece and use a wheel and polishing compound. I don't think thats practical for the vent window trim. You may have success with a drill, polishing compound and a polishing bob.
