No, they're not ceramic coated. I looked up my records and I bought them back in '97. The car sat in the garage from Aug '99 till June '01 in pieces, and I don't drive much in the rain, or at all in the winter here in Cleveland. As for stainless exhaust systems, if you're into the look, go for it. If you're looking for longevity, let me throw this out there-- I'm just now replacing the exhaust system that I put on back in 1991. My $25/ea (at the time) Dynomax mufflers finally rotted away where the inlet pipe goes into the body of the muffler. I think I spent $200 (and $50 for mufflers) to have a 2 1/2" system bent for my car. The pipes themselves are still 100% solid. My only point is this-- most of us don't drive in winter or lousy weather and non-stainless will last quite a long time at much less cost. Just throwing it out as a general FYI.. I could probably just have new mufflers welded into my system very inexpensively (compared to all-new stuff), but I can now re-do the system without the guilt of scrapping a $500+ stainless exahust system! :-P -Dave -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Richard M. I'm thinking about going that route along with a 2 1/2" stainless steel flowmaster exhaust system, cross-over pipes , etc. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Dave Studly Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2002 9:06 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Chevelle-List] Carb and Headers Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List ------------------------------------------------------------ I put Hedman's on my '70 small block and they fit like a champ. (1 5/8") Although my car has no A/C, which I'm sure makes things a little more difficult. I've had mine for about 4-5 years now and they're holding up great so far. -Dave -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Kelly C. Kelly & Jana Hanna El Camino Country www.hannawoodworks.com I too am looking at headers, but I want some I can bolt on without any "pinging" or retro fitting. I was told Headman would be a good choice. Anyone out there used them? ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
