Jeff, Most likely the fuel sending unit is *suspect*. Unfortunately, it is located in the gas tank. To order a new sending unit from GM, try www.gmpartsdirect.com you will need the part number, but it will be cheaper than going through a restoration store. If you need help with the part number, I have a set of the GM parts manuals, be glad to help.
