While my 396
engine is beening put together I need to start looking for a replacement
Carb. I was given a Hollley 600 carb with the car but that will be to
small.
My 396 is bored
out .40 and I have installed a Crank from a 427. I am told that I
should go with a 750 Double Pumper. Not having much knowledge about this,
and not being able to afford a new carb, when purchasing a used Holley what do I
need to look for, so that I don't get ripped off.
When people talk about carbs they talk about them being
modified, or being mechanical and about secondaries etc. I
have no idea what their talking about. What do I need to purchase, (knowing that
the Carb will need rebuilt.) I am not using
my SS for racing, only crusing with a good sound. Thanks
