Are they solid fiberglass or fiberglass-over-steel? Will they perform their duties as well as the standard chrome-over-steel bumpers? If you're not sacrificing protection and it's a street-driven car then it sounds like an interesting approach. But if safety and protection would be compromised then I'd stick with the chrome...
