Instead of saving weight, I'd beef up the drivetrain and keep my steel & chrome bumpers. I really don't like the fiberglass fit and finish on hoods and bumper covers, ground effects, etc. I can barely stand that my front spoiler is urethane (an even worse material for anything automotive). I also don't like the look of them painted, especially if they are stressed (cracks the paint). Chrome for me.......
