I read an article in I believe Popular Hot Rodding talking about all the different exhaust systems. They had a 442, ran it with open headers, X-Pipe, H-Pipe, and regular exhaust system. With Open headers it produced the most horsepower, x-pipe was second, H pipe third, and regular forth. X pipe gave it the most horsepower. I dont remember how much, but I remember the H-pipe gave about 15-20 more horsepower. I just remember that because I have an H-pipe on my car.
