Ken, Are you running a small block or big block?
If it's a big block with a short water pump, you need to measure the distance between the mounting surface for the clutch and the rad core to make sure you get the right "height" clutch. I have a Griffin rad (it's been repaired for those of you that remember my unlucky flex fan incident) with a 3.25" thick core and a short water pump. I only had about 3" between the rad core and the mounting surface on the water pump pulley. I ended up getting a HD fan clutch from NAPA that measured 2.67" tall and it fit perfectly in the space I had to work with. Also when figuring out how much room you have, don't forget to take into account the little nub the centers the pulley on the water pump.
