If the damper is still installed, a strap wrench (for oil filters) may turn it. Or I
believe that I've seen a special socket (Jegs/Summit) that slips over the snout &
keyway. As a last resort, if the flywheel is attached, you could turn it.

Subject: [Chevelle-List] how do I manually turn crank on 327?
Date: Wed, 12 Jun 2002 17:33:53 -0700 (PDT)

A 327 I just bought has no bolt in the center of the
crank I can put a wrench on to manually turn the crank
over. Any suggestions?

PS Man I wish you guys were all my neighbors..
