Bad clone, BAD CLONE. :*) There were no 396's after 69 but the 70 still used the 396 badge and GM still promoted them as SS396 due to the popularity of the size instead of trying to hop everyone up with a ~402~ designation. Again, only the 454 got any engine size badging on the side in 72.
