Where can I find the VIN # on the block of a '66 396 in order to compare it to the VIN on the car. I am looking at a 66 SS (138 VIN) this weekend to purchase. The 138 VIN and the body plate matches to what accessories etc are on the car. The seller is quite knowledgeable about Chevelles and says its numbers matching engine - but I would like to confirm it myself. Also are the heads any way VIN specific?
