I'm not sure, but I would guess you would need some mods for the 3.875" and 4" cranks. Speed O Motive (http://www.speedomotive.com/) has stroker kits, and they have one with 5.7" rods and a 3.832" stroke crank (415 cu in) for $1049 ($1949 forged), plus extras for balancing, substitute rods, etc. It could be that 4" stoke would need serious mods, but I think that 3.875" needs minor work, if any.
I thought they could deal with 0.060" overbore, but I have been more comfortable with 0.040". Speed O Motive has kits for 0.030", 0.040", and 0.060" overbores. The forged kit only is for 0.030" and 0.040", but it comes with 6" rods. As for longer rods than that, sure, but I think you will have to destroke the motor. With a lighter car, you might like a destroked 400: 386" (6.125" rods, 3.562" stroke), 377" (6" rods, 3.48" stroke), or 352" (6.3" rods, 3.25" stroke). Some of these are from their web site, and the 352 info is from a build I am actually doing for my Corvette. Either way, take the 400 block. Anything you build with the 400 should be great for a Chevelle.
