FRom what I understand, you pay GM for licensing fees for the part you are making. They give you the "GM Licensed Part" approval and then you pay them for every one you sell. GM has nothing to do with the quality or control of the parts and as long as they get their money, they don't really care. "GM Licensed" does not mean you are necessarily getting a better part, just that GM is getting paid. As we all know, today in Corporate America that is unfortunately the bottom line.
