Sand is
not great for sheet metal because it is too abrasive. Dry ice blasting is best
for removing paint & rust from sheet metal w/o eroding the surface. Dry ice
also does not leave any residue behind like sand does. Sand is fine for cast
iron and steel (heavier) parts. I did my OEM steel wheels w/ sand and then used
