Thanks for all the help guys, it turns out that this corvette looked good from the road but drove like a hay rack & the paint was very poor. Looked as though all the quarters where worked on at one time or another (they had approx. 2 inch wide seam that wasn't blended very well.
Needless to say I passed on this one. Thanks for your very informative feedback!

That is on the high side. Look at the Corvette trader found at any local gas stop.

Can any of you help me. I have a chance to purchase a 77 corvette but have little knowledge of them. (always been a chevelle guy).
So, it looks to be in good to average condition & the guy is asking 7500.
It has a crack in the hood where the fan hit the underside (apparently the water pump went out on  his son & caused the damage)
To me this sound like a good price But I really don't know about vet's. Any thing I should be looking for as I test drive this?
Any help greatly appreciated.
