I don't wish to disagree or start another horse whipping episode; however, I want to hear about other's problems with parts not fitting or companies that I may deal with in the future not doing what they say they will do. I do agree with Doug and others that we should be having a wake for this issue and not letting it die a sloooow death. But,  think it's important to share all experiences, good and bad, with others that are soon to be traveling down the road you've just been on!

I agree 100%. I'm getting real tired of all the complaining on this list. Don't buy from a company if you feel mistreated or overcharged. Let each of us make our own decision.

All:

I've ordered from Year One in the past and the shipping didn't seem an inordinate amount.  Have they changed their handling charges?

Just remember also that you want these companies to be able to stay in business.  If that means a small handling charge, then I am willing to pay it.

I love having things as cheap as possible as the next guy, but I also recognize that you can only go so low before the company gets into trouble.  Look at AMD.  Instead of making a good product that could compete with Intel they made a less expensive product and got into a price war.  Now they are laying off people.

If it means Year One staying in business, keep on charging that fee.  Competition and choice is a good thing.

Just my $0.02.

Jim
