John, On their home page of http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/web10/indexf5.html, I clicked the ~It's New~ button on the left. From the nav bar at the top of the page I clicked ~search~. I input the American Thunder part number (from their .PDF file you mention) in the ~Search By Keyword~ block and it turns up one item found. You can either click the link to 17119 (with the paperclip) under the ~Thread~ column heading and it shows an exploded view of the parts that are in the 17119. Same was done with the 17120 kit.
If you click the ~Kit Diagram Database~ link (instead of the part number found), it displays a list of all the kits and their components. I suppose it's possible that the designs and specs changed since these were drawn up, maybe the staff you spoke with just assumed one over the other, or (worse yet), the packaging and shipping dept assume one over the other. The posted date both kits is 10-15-2001 but I'm sure this is just the date the admin posted the information. I saved both pics for future reference. If you still can't find them on the web, let me know and I'll send them to you offline. They are only 25Kb each in .JPG format. Better yet, I'll send them to you offline anyway.
