Thanks for all the info guys. I have tried just about everything I can think of. Herb ,I tried a volt meter at the battery with the car running, same thing. One more question, does the charging system run through the fuse block? I have always had trouble with it as some of the connections are very rusty. I am thinking maybe that is where I'm getting to much resitance at a bad connection. ???  Thanks, Vernon
