Depends what you want... drivability, mileage, performance? I would definitly stay in the 600 or 650 range. No need for more unless you are running a wicked setup. On the holley front you will get much better mileage with a 600 or 650 v.s. a 750. Some guys like Edelbrocks for the easy of adjustability... I also like Quadrajets quite a bit on street cars, although a lot of the old school guys laugh at that. They will nail you the best mileage of any carb out there and work great on mild motors in terms of power and throttle response.

Elec. Choke is nice... I would go vacuum Secondaries... but you may want to look into if the secondaries are opening and if not diagnose the problem rather then just chuck the carb.

Subject: [Chevelle-List] carbs.

Howdy,
I'm looking to buy a new carb. I would like some input as to what is the best carb to buy. Well, maybe not which carb, but what features to look for. I currently am running a Holley of some kind and I don't believe the secondaries are opening.
Questions: Vacuum or mechanical secondaries?? CFM?? I definitely would like an electric choke, any reasoning against this?
The engine is a mild 350 backed by a powerglide trans. Any input will be much appreciated. Thank you.
