What's your current configuration? Do you have a PCV valve in 1 valve cover and a breather tube in the other? Basically the breather acts as a 2-way street; sometimes it allows air into the crankcase (PCV valve open) and other times it vents vapors to the atmosphere or to the air cleaner if it's a breather tube (PCV valve closed).
