I guess that must provide the "P" in Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

And the oil fill tube has a cap and not a breather? This is negating the PCV system so a breather of some sort is definitely a good idea. The stock setup is to have a PCV valve in 1 valve cover and a breather tube connecting the other valve cover to the air cleaner, although you can go with a simple push-in breather or breather-style oil cap if you want.
