Steve, The 5 or 6 cans that I have used weren't thick on the bottom. They were actually quite consistent throughout. Also you can invert the can 5-10 times before your punch your hole to pour some out. Mixes it up fine without forming air bubbles. You do have to use their thinner to spray but I use very little. There is heavy overspray and it sticks like epoxy. Next to impossible to clean later so drape everything. Absolutely use a good respirator. Yes you can use a regular gun. Never tried it with HVLP. Cleanup with lacquer thinner.
