It has come to my attention that the pictures on my El Camino web site represent a job well done! Well, I for one have only heard this from one person, and you can imagine who that is.
I have pictures that show the gaping holes in the floor and the outer wheelhouses, and how the new quarter panel doesn't line up to the rocker or the door, and a couple of other goodies. Unfortunately those pictures are not on the web site, and in the sake of fairness, lest there really is somebody out there who would call this a good $9,000 job, perhaps I should show them. Ron's answer on the outer wheelhouse rot (all 4 corners that will need to be fixed before the car will be roadworthy, along with the floor pans) is that we did not discuss undercarriage work. Well, when you take the body mounts off the frame and separate the two entities, what you have is the BODY and the UNDERCARRIAGE, and guess which one of those parts the outer wheelhouses are connected to? The answer would be THE BODY. Anyway, what kind of fool puts a brand new quarter panel over a 4-inch rot hole in the outer wheelhouse so that water and dirt can be kicked into the inside of the panel? This is what I'm dealing with. A battle of wits with somebody who is unarmed. Thin, crappy excuses, and a car that needs more bodywork before I can even put it on the road. Anyway, the deal is over, and I am a very unsatisfied customer. That's the bottom line.
