thanks... I called AGR and they recommended one of the variable rate boxes. Seems
like their prices were pretty good compared to some of the others. I can get a new
box and a pump for the price of some of the other units.
Was it a pretty straight forward bolt in replacement for you? I'll have to check
out your web page while I am at work on the T1 line. I have a dial up here at home
and even though it is 56k it is too slow for pictures etc.

Hi Guy,

I upgraded my manual steering to an AGR unit along with a Type II pump. I'm
very pleased with how it works and feels, and even though Dale says you
can't palm it like with the stock steering, when you go from a quick ratio
manual setup to a quick ratio power setup, yes you can palm it! There are
pictures of the new AGR box on my web page if you're interested...

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Fast ratio steering box

Hi,
I'm looking to change the stock (17.5:1) steering box on my '67 Chevelle.
On the web I have seen fast ratio boxes by AGR, and Global West. Has anyone
had any experience with these? Did you go to a 12.5:1 or use a variable
rate like those offered by AGR? AGR also offers pumps to match, any
experience with these?
thanks,
Guy
