I run KYBs on my 65 Elky and have been very satisfied. I just finished my 64 Tempest and mounted Edelbrock IAS shocks. They also seem to work real well.
They feel somewhat stouter than the KYBs, but not at all harsh. Either would be a good choice for street performance.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] shocks for 65 chevelle???

i'm looking at what my costs are to redo my whole suspension for my 65.  anyone have any experiance with what shocks are good for everyday driving but also can stand up for performance.  i read the super chevy article thi slast month and they used qa1 shocks but i called them up and they priced themselves right out of my consideration.  at 163 each for fronts and 173 each for rears thats a little too steep for me to touch.  Bilsteins can be had for 360 a set through hotchkis.  and KYB can be had for 120 a set through PST, any others out there i should check out and consider, anyone have any of these and can testify how they like them.  thanks in advance guys to anyone that can help.
