I must have remembered wrong.  I was fairly sure I had a late 60's 283 with
a rubber grommet that a PCV went into.  I had the oil fill through the
intake but a sealed cap.  Maybe it was a crossover setup before they changed
it over to the valve cover or maybe my memory is shot.
