68 VIN but 69 taillights, quarters, fenders, SS emblems...

It either really is a rare car or it's a 68 that was redone w/ 69 panels, or
maybe it's a stolen recovery that was completely trashed or a junkyard
rustbucket that's been completely rebuilt and retagged...

Subject: [Chevelle-list] Ebay 1968 1/2 SS?

Never seen this before - seller claiming a 1968 1/2 SS, I know there have
been some 1/2 year cars, but never seen a Chevelle this way. VIN of
136378B102487 tells me it's an early 1968, from the low production and a
regular Malibu (not an SS) from the 136 - assembled in Baltimore - 1968.
Car for sale has '69 tail lights. Anybody have any insight on the claims
being made is this auction? Either this seller is misled or I will learn
something new.

Krister
