Never seen this before - seller claiming a 1968 1/2 SS, I know there have
been some 1/2 year cars, but never seen a Chevelle this way.  VIN of
136378B102487 tells me it's an early 1968, from the low production and a
regular Malibu (not an SS) from the 136 - assembled in Baltimore - 1968.
Car for sale has '69 tail lights.  Anybody have any insight on the claims
being made is this auction?  Either this seller is misled or I will learn
something new.

Wouldn't the trim tag (if it's not fake) give the build date on the car rather than the VIN?  Looks like BS to me.  The web pic was last updated in Dec '04?
