Dan,
No problems. Only "complication" was deciding where I wanted to place the reservoir (firewall), run the -8an lines (through the frame) and which to use. I wound up using Russell pro race tubing for the low pressure lines and had one custom made locally for the pump to box line.
BTW, I don't think it makes any difference but FYI my car is a '68 Chevelle frame/chassis '32 Ford street rod.
So far it works fine and doesn't make any noise.
Good Luck!

Dan,
Try Summit, pn SUM-340105. This is a GM Type 2 polished aluminum pump that uses a remote reservoir and hence takes very little room at the pump. I just installed one on my '68/454 and it works and looks great. I used a Zoops polished aluminum bracket and reservoir and the pump mounts low on the driver side. If you are running a stock pump this should work just fine.

I'm still trying to find someone or a company that sells an aluminum

or chrome Saginaw power steering pump for my 1972 Chevelle. The car

crank.
I have the AC mounted passenger side low. The alternator passenger side
above. The old Saginaw pump is still in it's stock driver side
position.
March has a nice billet pump, but said the mounting brackets would not work. Flaming River said they had nothing that would fit!
Does anyone have any ideas! Is anyone running an 8-71 blower on a 454?
