Question for you guys whose dash lights are hooked up properly. When you have the key in the run position, just before you turn it to the start position, which warning lights are on in the dash? Should it be Oil only, Gen & Oil, or all three (Gen, Oil, Temp)? For me it is usually only the oil light. My temperature sending unit is not hooked up (another one of those pesky little tasks), so I've never seen that one come on.
The reason I am wondering if the Gen light is supposed to be on at any given time is because assuming that one of my courtesy bulbs is in the Gen spot, I'll need to find out which bulb really belongs in the Gen spot, and make sure it is not burned out. AAMOF, if I ground the temp lead, should that make the temp light come on? I may as well make sure that bulb is in the right place and working too. Thanks, John Nasta
