I'm guessing the original rubber grommets that the breather tube and PCV valve fit into have hardened over the years and don't "grab" as well as they used to. Check the display of "Help!" replacement parts at your local parts store for new grommets; if the store doesn't carry them in stock they should be available by special order. Brad O.
