I'm from the "less is more" group. For the street you are always better off with the smaller carburetor, sometimes even in racing smaller is better. From throttle response to fuel economy a 600 or 650 cfm carburetor will outperform a larger carburetor hands down. A 350 ci motor, in street friendly form, simply can't move enough air to benefit from a larger carburetor at any range except balls out.

I built a 355 for a friend's race car. It makes about 600hp, has Dart heads, a .630 lift nasty mechanical roller cam and goes mid 10s. He shifts at 7200. That motor runs only runs a Holley 850 double pumper. I wouldn't want to try to drive the car on the street though.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] which carb

I've looked to you guys for help and im back . I have a 350 with approx 375 horses .  I found out the carb that came off my 283 is a Holley 600 double pumper.,when we swapped motors,we put it on the new engine. Its flooding out on the secondary's every once in a while so i got a buddy to help me rebuild it when we get some time this week. before i put it on, should i think about another carb, such as a 700 or 750?I don't know what jets it has ,but i bought a set of #75 jets to put in it. is this enough air (600cfm) or should i look else where?

thanks for your help,again
