I grew up during those days. That kind of money for the cars history is just 
plain "nuts". But I'm guessing it isn't going to hurt the value of my chevelle

If you followed NHRA Super Stock back in those days,that Truppi/Kling
Chevelle,driven by Ray Allen, dominated like no other. To give an equivalent
example,imagine what one of Sox & Martin's race cars,or one of Bill "Grumpy"
Jenkins car's would be worth with their dominant racing history. It's the
history behind that Chevelle that pumped up the bidding.
