You have
to torque the bolts or nuts. The shims go between the shaft and the frame
mounts over the two bolts that bolt the shaft to the frame. -----Original

two questions that seem kinda stupid but I want to make sure I do it right..... 1)
On the front upper control arms I had mentioned that I replaced the cross
shaft and that left me with a male thread on the outside of the bushing.
Once the center shaft is mounted to the frame, the control arm
slides back and forth on the shaft. Do I just center it and tighten the
nuts down against each other or is there something that I am missing? Is
there shims that I should have put on before pressing the cross shaft in?
I am open to criticism but I want to get it right while I am doing it. 2)
I have a set of 71 SS Rims. I really dont like the
looks of the blue bowtie that is supposed to be the center caps. I was
wondering if the center caps that say "SS" will mount to these rims
with the retainers or am I outta luck? Thanks
