It has come to my attention that the OER part# K982 repro brake pedal pads for A/T cars are about 3/4 inch longer than the originals. I just put one on my own 1969 El Camino to test it and found that cosmetically it looks fine but if you don't use the trim piece it is indeed a bit floppy on the outer edges. With the trim piece attached it is stiff all the way out to the corners. Maybe the 64-67 cars used a wider pad and this was meant to "fit all".
Just thought I'd let you know. It was the first time in 5 years that someone asked to return one, so I tried it on my own car and that's what I found out.
