Oof. Sand blasted or media blasted? Sand is pretty rough on aluminum, I hate to tell you but you might have only added more work for whoever plates them.

That being said, with proper prep and expertise, a very nice result can be obtained. But with that prep and expertise comes a price tag which might just make rechroming an un-economical choice. If you do decide to get them done, you cannot go wrong with the quality of the work that comes out of Advanced Plating in Nashville TN. Good luck.
