The side walls are 16', so height is not an issue.
Jerry, I live in NW MO. I am also planning on radiant floor heat, so anything
you have learned, I would appreciate. What is the fuel source for your boiler
? My options for fuel are propane, waste oil, and a corn burning furnace.
Thanks, Jerry, Eric & John
Hi Larry...............
I built a new garage a few years ago and installed a Back Yard Buddy four post
lift. Lift is great, works well. You will need 11' - 12" ceiling clearance.
Not sure if I would do a four post again. Might have more flexibility with a
two post. Don't know where you live but I live in cold country so I installed
in floor heat driven by a boiler system and that is great for the winter. Can
keep the temp at 55-60 and it is comfortable.
Good luck,
Jerry Wells
Build your building with 12' walls. My dad's garage has 10' walls and you
cannot take his four post lift all the way up (with a vehicle on it.)
Eric
My friend Jack put in a two-post and it works great. I've had my El Camino on
it many times. I don't remember what brand it is. If you want something that
doesn't take up space while you're not using it, try leaving the car on the
lift!
I gave Tom Rightler a catalog
You may also want to look at waste oil heaters, especially if it's going to be
an unattached building. The heaters are not cheap but the fuel is free.
