cathy,appreciate your comments. but guess what, the mom doesn't want anything to do with the pups since they were weined. we thought we would let the mom back in the room at night, or even in the afternoon, but we are finding out for the last 2 days, the mom is growling at the pups when they go to her and try to suck ... we plan on keeping them until 8 weeks; can't imagine keeping them 12 as they are so active; we truly want to do this right, but can't even imagine keeping the 6 plus the mom (keeper, will be spayed) and dad (keeper, may be neutered) for 12 weeks. still I appreciate any and all comments. This is a one time shot breeding ... the mom will be spayed. We are keeping one pup. Wonder if the mother will bond with that pup or continue to growl. anyone have experience with this.
