Hi All, I am new here and I am going to be getting a Chihuahua in a month. I do have a lot of dog experience, so I am comfortable with the basics. This is my first Chihuahua though. We have a Weimaraner and a Great Dane. The GD has woblers syndrome, so his domain is downstairs(he can't go up and down stairs anymore). The Weimaraner has free rein to go back and forth, but he usually chooses to hang out downstairs wether we are down there or not. The basement is nicely finished so it's not like a dungeon or anything. They even have their own room down there. The Chihuahua will be mainly upstairs and will get to go places with us. I've heard that they do better in pairs. Will this one do okay upstairs when we are not home? We do have a neighbor that comes mid day now. She will be coming three times a day while the puppy is still little. The dogs adore her! We are not gone for an extremely long day or anything, we are just very fortunate enough to have an animal lover next door in a house full of family members that are allergic! Anyway, sorry to ramble. I gues the main question is one puppy? Or two?
