Don't feel bad about needing to share....that is exactly how I feel. I just need to share with people who can understand. And that feeling of guilt over not closing the door tight.....same here, only I feel quilt over not going to check on him a little earlier when I had this nagging feeling I needed to. If I had only gone looking for him a half hour earlier. The "if only's" are so hard!. I  now recall you mentioning he had been hit by a car, but had forgotten that in my earlier post. That "thud" you can't get out of your head?? Same as the picture of Chips bleeding body that I can't get out of mine.   Let this be a reminder to all of us when we are behind the wheel to take special care to be on the lookout for all of God's creatures and if, Lord forbid, we do accidentally hit something, to take the time to see if there is anything we can do. It may be too late, but we need to check. Don't let an animal lay on the side of the road and suffer pain! Marsha     Hello, I know that awful feeling. The car that hit Nacho was going about a 100MPH I know, they never slowed one bit,and never even stopped to see what they had hit. If they had not been speeding so fast they might have avoided that.If only I had not forgotten to close the door tightly. It still hurts me so bad. I can't seem to stop thinking of him and that horrible THUD sound. I don't mean to keep on and on,but just need to tell someone how sad I feel.
